Before this performance, I wrote letters to several individuals that I wanted to say something to, giving myself a 10-minute time limit for each letter. After I wrote them, I went back through and picked out the most important parts of each. For the performance, I read those parts aloud, keeping who the letter was addressed to anonymous. I imposed the same 10-minute time limit for the performance itself, reading as many letters as I could in that time.
